Art In The Atrium
Art in the Atrium is our bi-monthly lunch hour performance series held in the atrium of Toronto Western Hospital. This series is a joint venture of the Artists’ Health Centre, the Artists’ Health Alliance and Volunteer Resources of Toronto Western Hospital. Performances start at noon and are free and open to the public.
The next Art in The Atrium will be Thursday October 1st from 12:30pm to 1:15pm featuring Zolla.
Zolla is a performance piece of music and dance. The piece was originally inspired by the music of Astor Piazolla and explores the influence of sound on movement and vice versa with both performers deeply listening and responding.
Zolla was created with the support of Series 8:08 Creators Space Program and with the generous support of the Toronto Arts Council and has been performed in Toronto at the Harbourfront Centre’s Music Garden, Davenport Library as part of Culture Days, and at Series 8:08 and Stratford’s SpringWorks Festival. Upcoming performances include Tartu College and Older and Reckless, Toronto.
